The Energetics of Fragrance

We craft our perfumes with attention to both their aromatic character and their subtle energetics—the qualities of warmth, clarity, grounding, openness, or contemplation expressed through a composition.

For those interested, our Energetic Signatures offer an additional way to explore each fragrance through elemental, planetary, chakra, and Jing–Qi–Shen correspondences. These describe another dimension of the same perfume; they don’t represent a different formula or scent.

Custom fragrance can begin with these qualities, too. Alongside your scent preferences, we can compose around an energetic intention—the qualities you wish to express, cultivate, or carry with you.

Understanding the correspondences

The Five Elements

Earth:
Grounding, stability, embodiment, structure, and enduring presence.
Water:
Emotion, intuition, receptivity, intimacy, and fluidity.
Fire:
Vitality, warmth, passion, transformation, and expressive power.
Air:
Clarity, movement, communication, openness, and inspiration.
Void (Spirit/Aether):
Stillness, spacious awareness, transcendence, and the unifying dimension of spirit.

Planetary Correspondences

Planetary Correspondences draw upon Western esoteric traditions, connecting fragrances with archetypal qualities such as Venusian beauty, solar vitality, lunar receptivity, and Saturnian steadiness.

Chakra Resonance

Chakra Resonance identifies the centers traditionally associated with the fragrance’s energetic character, from grounding and sensuality to expression, intuition, and spiritual awareness.

Jing, Qi, and Shen

Jing, Qi, and Shen, known in Daoist traditions as the Three Treasures, provide a further dimension:
